Concealed Carry Laws
How do they affect you?
Justification
It is every honest persons right to own and carry guns regardless of what other people think as per the constitution of the United States. The Second Admendment tells us we have the right to carry a firearm.
Pros
- Criminals are less likely to attack someone that they believe is armed.
- "Shall Issue" laws reduced homicides by 8.5%, Aggravated assaults by 7%, Rapes by 5%, and robberies by 3%.
- Adults may feel safer being armed.
My Side.
Due to all the homicides, assaults, rapes, and robberies I believe adults should have the right to carry around a concealed firearm. Criminals are less likely to attack someone they think is armed. Also some adults might feel safer have firearms on hand, and loss a lot of that stress they have. The Second Admendent protects peoples rights to keep and bear arms from infringement.
A Useful Tool!
Guns come in all different sizes and shapes.
Becoming A Skiled Shooter.
A person exercising their second amendment right.
Should The Bad Guys Be The Only Ones WIth Guns?
It's everyone persons right to protect themselves.
Cons
- The chances of a handgun being used inappropriately increasing when normal responsible adults are tired, intoxicated, afraid, or untrained.
- Carrying concealed handguns needlessly intimates other citizens.
- Responsible adults can still be a threat to public safety if they are armed.

Did You Know?
"11 states have "may issue” laws which give law enforcement discretion in issuing permits (as of Mar. 31, 2010). Of these states, Maryland, Hawaii, and New Jersey are considered "no issue" in practice, while Alabama, Connecticut, and Iowa are considered "shall-issue” in practice. In California, New York, and Massachusetts, issuing is up to local officials and rural areas tend to issue more liberally than urban areas. Alaska and Vermont do not require permits but individuals must meet minimum requirements to carry concealed handguns.""The National Rifle Association (NRA) gave presidential candidate Barack Obama an "F" rating based on his voting record on guns. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence also gave President Obama an "F," in part because he signed the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 which included an amendment to allow the carrying of firearms in national parks.
What Do They Have To Say?
"It is more dangerous to the occupants of a home to have a gun than not. It's more likely that you'll be injured by your own gun than that you'll be defended against some intruder with that gun. It's an enormous public health problem in our cities-- there are tragedies every day where young people are being shot, as victims of gun crimes. It's tragic. We're not arguing that nobody should have a gun--but public safety should factor into constraints."Dec. 21, 2011 Jill Stein "I am not in favor of concealed weapons. I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations."Apr. 2, 2008 Barack Obama I'm an ardent supporter of the 2nd amendment and openly advocated conceal carry as Governor. It was a new concept at the time, but I believed it would result in less crime - a fact borne out by the statistics."Oct. 31, 2011 Gary Johnson"I am not in favor of concealed weapons.
