National Poetry Month
Student Council Corner
The campaign allowed our younger students to work on learning their money concepts. Everyone who donated their change also enjoyed the feeling one gets when contributing to a worthwhile cause. We are grateful to have such a nice collection in our school library, and we want others around the world to experience the power of books as well.
The classroom donating the most money at each grade level will be rewarded with an extra recess this month. The classroom donating the most money overall (Mrs. Byrd's 6th grade class) will be treated to a Freddy's lunch sometime in May.
Thank you to our families who donated to this school-wide fundraiser!

Volunteer Spotlight
When asked what she likes best about volunteering, Judy responded, "I like interacting with the kids, and it keeps me out of trouble (most of the time)!" In her free time she enjoys their new puppy, reading, swimming, and scrapbooking.
Judy and her husband, John, live at Pomona Lake. They have 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Granddaughter Jordan is a 10th grader at WRHS and grandson Carson is a 7th grader at WRMS.
Thank you, Judy, for always helping out with a smile!
