County Youth Art Showcase at Perceptions in Vernon In the entire month of March!
Please take some time in the month of March to go to Perceptions in Vernon In to admire the vibrant art work from the counties youth K-12 students, including our very own Cyclones! We are proud to announce our very talented Sand Creek Cyclones who were chosen to represent us at Perceptions by showcasing their creative talents. Show up to the North Vernon Main Street Solar Fest for an electrifying weekend from April 5th to 7th. Stellar Park will come alive with a vibrant array of activities , including food vendors, a glow run and a captivating scavenger hunt.
Kids Heart Challenge
An annual tradition at SCE that we look forward to each year. Now, is your time to give back to an important cause. Coach Gray has planned a whole month packed with fun, ending with your favorite, STUCK for a Buck on Friday, Mar. 1! Let's Raise some money for the American Heart Association and have fun learning how to stay heart healthy!
Week 3 - Staff Raffle - Students choose their favorite staff give away to enter for a chance to win. Everything from game time with your favorite staff member to a special lunch for you and a friend.
Week 4 - Penny Wars - We wrap up our Kids Heart Challenge Each year with our Penny War - Start flipping couch cushions to collect your coins. May the best and most strategic class win!
National School Breakfast Week!

National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) celebrates the importance of a nutritious school breakfast in fueling students for success. This special observance during the first week of March celebrates the national School Breakfast Program and the many ways it gives kids a great start every day.
There will be prize drawings for students who purchase a full breakfast! Come have breakfast and win prizes!
March Madness Getting Ready to Start at SCE
Math Fact Challenge with Grades 2-6 - Help your child's class win by practicing using Reflex Math at Home.
Accellerated Reader Challenge - READ! READ! READ! - School-Wide Challenge to see which class can earn the most points in reading for the Month of March. Make sure your child is reading or being read to for at least 20 minutes every night.
Attendance - Each week your child has perfect attendance, they will get entered into a drawing to win on of the Family Fun Packages that can be used over Spring Break or later. More information coming your way soon.

Pop Open a Good Book / SCE's Annual Book Projects
Let's kick off March by celebrating reading by creating a project that represents one of our favorite books and/or authors. These projects will be displayed the week of March 4th and will be on display for our Family STEM Night on Thursday, March 7. See links below to the discription and rubric for these projects. If you are in need of a supply that you don't have, please have your child ask at school.

Pantherette Dance Clinic
*All participants will be performing at the JCMS Dance Showcase held the same evening as the clinic. Performance will be determined prior to the clinic and each student attending the clinic will receive the Information at the clinic. When: Saturday, March 9, 2024
Where: JCMS - North Gym at the Middle School
Time: 9:00-11:00am Doors will open at 8:30am
Ages: Kindergarten—6th grade
Cost: $15 (a T-shirt is included in your cost)
*NO REFUNDS unless Clinic is canceled*
*Walk-ins and late registration welcome at an additional $5.00. Walk-ins please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time to process registration*
Attire: Please wear something comfortable for dancing and dance shoes or tennis shoes. *Bring Water Bottle with your name on it to use for clinic*
