Welcome Back Dance
Roosevelt's Welcome Back Dance will be Friday, October 4th in the MPR from 3:15-5:15pm. Tickets will be on sale from Monday, September 30 to Thursday, October 3rd for $8. Entrance tickets are not sold the day of the dance. Remember that if your student has an ASB stamp they do not have to purchase a ticket to get into the dance. If your student has not purchased the ASB stamp yet and is interested you may purchase them through our webstore or in the office with Ms. Maya or Ms. Martha.

Reminder….Yearbook Picture make-up day is coming on Monday, September 30th! You will need to report to the MPR during your lunch break to have your picture taken.
Social Committee dues are still being collected. These dues will help pay for all sorts of fun events that throughout the year… Staff Meetings, Harvest Lunch, on-site and off-site Holiday shenanigans, End-of-Year Extravaganza and much more!! Please complete the Social Committee form and turn IN your dues to Ms Maya by October 3, 2019.
DEVOLSON! Are you feeling it? Late September, October, and November is traditionally one of the most difficult times of the year for students and ESPECIALLY for teachers. If you are feeling added stress and exhaustion right now, you are not alone! Remember the importance of self-care, and think about ways that we can support each other and lift each other up until we get to the winter holidays!

Band/Choir Fundraiser
It's Christmas in October! Our annual Poinsettia Fundraiser begins October 1st. All proceeds will benefit our award winning Band and Choir programs. Order from your favorite choir or band student or fill out an order form and turn in to the front office. Flowers are delivered the first week of December. Forms available in the front office and linked HERE
Youth Caregiver Retreat
On October 25th Cal State San Marcos will be hosting a free 1-day Youth Caregiver Retreat on the CSUSM campus! Youth caregivers are middle-school and high school students who are providing assistance to a sibling, parent or grandparent because of a physical or mental health problem. If you know of one of your students who is a Youth Caregiver, please let us know.
PTA Updates
Parent participation and/or ideas appreciated! Interested in helping with athletic activities? Games on the Green is a volunteer group that gets the kids playing on the field on Friday’s during lunchtimes. Guy figures are specifically appreciated, although all are welcome. Contact lizdebaets@gmail.com if you want to participate.
