The Conqueror Worm
By: Edgar Allan Poe
Recited by Connor Haddas
"Seraphs sob at vermin fang/ In human gore imbued". It's the event of the season! The tragedy "Man" is in town, with its hero, the Conqueror Worm. Gather round to see a play of hopes and fears, a motley drama full of madness and sin! A once in a lifetime play, full of love, hate, drama, and creature from the depth. In this poem, people are gathered to see a play, "Man", which is a tragedy. An audience of angles come to watch. The play is of hopes and fears, and from the moment it starts, the audience is captivated. Vast formless things take the stage, followed by a blood-red thing. The lights cut out, and with the sound of the curtain rising, the hero is revealed, The Conquering Worm.
