Biography of Howard Florey
He studied in university from 1917 to 1927.
Florey was a contributor to, and Editor of, Antibiotics and has had many papers published on pathology.
During World War II he was appointed Honorary Consultant in Pathology to the Army and became the Pathology Professor to many in Australia and New Zealand.
Howard Florey was awarded the Nobel Prize in physiology and medicine in 1945

He first tried it on sick children, often with blood poisoning, with outstanding results.
Howard Florey and his partner, Norman Heatley took a flight to the US to share their discovery. By the end of World War II, many laboratories were manufacturing the drug, and Australia was the first country to legalize civilian use of the drug.
He has written a book and published many papers on pathology that show the genuineness of his finding.
His work has influenced many scientists today with not only the use and intensity of penicillin, but also with discovery of many other non toxic, low side effect, chemical antibiotics.
