Machine guns enter
August 1914 machine guns entered the war. They weighed somewhere between 30kg to 60kg. Using 400-600 small calibre bullets and a flat tripod.
Tanks enter
During the war tanks were developed as a response to the stalemate.the tanks were armored with chain wheels. At frist they were slow and clumsy but were improved and helped the allies win the war
Effects of machine guns
because machine guns could fire rapidly soldiers that tried advancing could be taken out easily. As a result it made it harder for soldiers to advance causing stalemates.
Effects of tanks
The tanks were able to help the allies by crossing trenches and storm bases.they were bullet proof and mobile with guns to shoot back.they took hits and keep rolling on
