Eagle Express
March 2024 Edition
A message from your Assistant Principal:
Dear Citrus Park Families,
Another wonderful month filled with excitement and learning has passed us by. Thank you for taking the time to stop by during our Conference Night to hear all the amazing things your child/children are doing. Home/School communication is key! When you have a strong partnership between the two, students can only grow. We appreciate YOU and the efforts you make to keep your child committed to learning.
We want to hear from you! Please complete the HCPS Family Survey (linked below) to help our school improve our communication, academic programs, and overall experience for you and your child. The survey opens on Monday, March 4th and closes on Friday, March 22nd. The digital survey is available in Arabic, English, Somali and Spanish.
Safety First!
- Please use our crosswalks. If you need to walk onto campus, or are leaving towards the parking lot, please use our crosswalks. Safety First!
- For the safety of the students and families, please DO NOT use cellphones in the car line.
- Patrols are to arrive before 7:10. The front loop is to be utilized for PATROLS ONLY. If your child is a patrol and you arrive after 7:10, please stay in the regular car line.
- At 7:35 patrols are released back into the building. They will not be able to escort your child if you arrive at a later time.
- Do NOT pull away from the curb until the safety patrol has closed the door and stepped away from the vehicle.
- Please do NOT get out of your vehicle to buckle your child or open the door. If your child needs buckling up at the end of the day, you may pull up to a parking lot once they have been loaded.
- As a reminder, please follow all traffic laws/rules and drive cautiously through the neighborhood and surrounding streets.
- Please do NOT drive into the 'Do Not Enter' loop. Officer Mike is monitoring that area for the safety of all.
American Heart Association
Thank you for your support during our American Heart Association fundraiser. Our school was able to raise a little of $4,000! Students will now have extra P.E. equipment that they will be able to use daily because of you!
