Social Studies
After we discussed and analyzed the early explorers, students delved into the first English Colonies: Roanoke, Jamestown, and Plymouth. Through reader's theater performances groups of students will be acting out why settlers came, the hardships they endured, and the reasons why each settlement succeeded or failed.
Will they survive? Working in groups next week students will create a colony. They will identify supplies they need to make their colony successful, select people to join their expedition, pick a site, and decide what tasks they would do first.
Essential Question: What challenges faced the first English colonies?
Math
Unit 3 is working on multiplying and dividing fractions. Visuals are key in this unit!! Please remember to take a look at the math videos to help guide your child on homework. These can be accessed through the Google Site (see below), Canvas module, or the QR Code on the homework.
