Regional Trainings
STARS Account Managers and District Users
In November, the SD-STARS team will provide trainings for district users of SD-STARS. Morning and afternoon sessions will be offered in three locations throughout the state – Mitchell, Aberdeen, and Rapid City.
SD-STARS Training for STARS Account Managers (Morning)
The Department of Education is offering this half-day training on SD-STARS to STARS Account Managers (SAMs). The course is open to new and returning SAMs. The training will educate participants on the responsibilities of being a SAM, specifically how to create, manage, and end accounts in SD-STARS. SD-STARS security and account clean-up will also be discussed. This training is especially important given recent updates to SD-STARS account management screens. We encourage all SAMs to attend. Please bring a laptop to fully participate in the training activities.
SD-STARS Training for District Users (Afternoon)
The Department of Education is offering this half-day training on SD-STARS for district users of SD-STARS. Any district SD-STARS users who wish to be trained by the SD-STARS team may attend this training. The course will update participants on changes in the SD-STARS system and train them on understanding and using data for educational decisions. There is no pre-requisite for this class. Please bring a laptop to fully participate in the training activities.
