In case of SNOW
Its the time of year to mention.....if the county decides to delay school or cancel school, you can receive that information by text on your phone (just like you receive other school texts. If you have not signed up and want to get these alerts, contact the office!) or you can tune in to WHSV-TV3 or to WSVA radio to get those announcements. Delaying or cancelling school is a big decision that affects a lot of people. They do not make those decisions lightly. Students' safety is always the main factor. While at times everyone may not agree with the decision that is made, it is based on road conditions in ALL of Rockingham County--not just in the area in which we live. This is a large county and it is surprising how one area can have significantly different road conditions from the rest of the area. The decisions are based on the safety of ALL RCPS students.
