Welborne Word
December 18, 2023, Issue #17
Dear Families,
We are down to the last 5 days of school before the Winter Break! We thought it would be fun to add a theme to each day! We encourage students to dress according to the spirit day:
Tuesday - Hat Day - Wear a hat to school!
Wednesday - Sparkle Day - Light up Welborne in your sparkly gear!
Thursday - Festive Wear day - Wear your festive gear to celebrate this time of year!
Friday = Pajama Day - Wear your warm and cozy clothing to school!
We are looking forward to our Sing-Alongs this week - the schedule for both the Tuesday and the Thursday event can be found below, in this newsletter. If you are able to attend, we welcome you!
We also hope that families will have the opportunity to come and look at the beautiful student artwork displayed on outward facing windows and lit with twinkle lights during the evening this week. Families are invited to walk around the outside of the school after dark on Monday December 18 to Thursday December 21 and enjoy the beautiful artwork that students have created. The students who have classes that face onto one of the courtyards will display their art on the windows in the library, the staff room, and the front doors.
We want to wish all families a wonderful Winter Break! We hope the two weeks brings you joy and happiness. We look forward to learning with you in 2024! We will see you on January 8th!
If you have any questions, please email us at welba@limestone.on.ca.
Warm regards,
Ms. Fraser, Mrs. Wellwood, and Ms. Hart

Taking Care Over the Winter Break
Though the holiday season is often equated with warmth, joy, festivity and happy moments with family and friends, for many this is not the case. Feelings of sadness, loneliness, grief, and anxiety can be magnified against this backdrop.
