Zebra Nation,
Our winter sports have concluded for this year. Congratulations to all of winter sports coaches and student-athletes. Overall, you made us very proud in competing with pride, discipline, and class.
Spring sports start up Monday (March 11). Get in involved - join a team, a club, or an activity group this spring. The rewards can be great!
Congratulations to our WMHS Band! The Symphony Orchestra received a first division rating for the first time in a number of years and the Symphony Band earned straight I's and almost all A's with one B+.

WEEKLY THOUGHTS:
Goal Setting --
- Two Types of Goals
- 'Short Term'. Examples = Earn a 'B' on the next science test. Or earn an 'A' on my next social studies project.
- 'Long Term'. Examples = Help complete a community service project. Or raise my GPA. Or make the soccer team.
- Be S.M.A.R.T. when setting your Goals
- S = Specific. What exactly do you want to accomplish?
- M = Measurable. How will you know when you meet your goal?
- A = Attainable. Is it possible to reach your goal within your timelines? What steps are need to reach your goals?
- R = Relevant. Why is your goal important? Why do you want to accomplish this goal?
- T = Timely. How long will it take to achieve your goal?

- Attention current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students: All scheduling resources can be found on zebracounseling.net under Scheduling including graduation requirements, course descriptions, and an AP Contract if you want to take an AP class next year. You will meet with your counselor for a one on one meeting to go over your selections for next year.
- Seniors: The FAFSA is open. You will have a very short window of opportunity to complete this. This year changes have been made to make the FAFSA easier to complete. Gather the items that you need now. You will need to gather tax returns from last year. You will want to start gathering income documentation (ex. child support if you receive any - you will want to get those totals). Student and parent(s) will each need the FAFSA ID which you can get now. Visit StudentAid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch to create an FSA ID. You'll need your Social Security number, full name, and date of birth. You'll also need to create a memorable username and password, and complete challenge questions and answers so you can retrieve your account information if you forget it.
