CTHS NEWS

Good Evening CTHS Families
To round out February's CTE month, we wanted to take the time to spotlight our participation in multiple Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). These national organizations provide opportunities for students to learn more about their career fields and to showcase their skills through competition. Some of the organizations available at Tech include SkillsUSA, which encompasses all career fields, but at CTHS, the focus is on building, transportation, and business skills; FFA, which focuses on agriculture, including veterinary sciences and natural resources; HOSA - health sciences; and ProStart focuses on culinary arts and restaurant management.
Last week, one of our CTSOs, Educators Rising, traveled to Juneau for the state conference. EdRising is a national organization that cultivates and supports the next generation of teachers, psychologists, and other education professionals. EdRising courses allow aspiring educators to engage in hands-on teaching experiences and competitions related to teaching and education. We had many students place in the top three in their competition. We will celebrate the individual results in an upcoming newsletter.
As we wrap up this quarter, please take a moment to celebrate your achievements, no matter how big or small. Reflect on the progress you've made, the skills you've developed, and the knowledge you've gained. Acknowledge the challenges you've overcome and the lessons you've learned. Whether you've tackled complex assignments, engaged in meaningful discussions, or pushed your creative boundaries, your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Thank you for your hard work and commitment. We are proud to be part of this fantastic community of learners.
We wish you an excellent end to the third quarter and hope you find the time to relax and refresh over spring break. Please get outside and enjoy our great state.

Just a Reminder that the week BEFORE Spring Break (March 4-6) will have a Monday-Friday-Friday class schedule. Students will see all of their teachers every day that week.
