SCHOOL SECURITY & CRISIS MANAGEMENT DISTRICT PRESENTATION
You are welcome to come out and listen to Mr. IIya Umanskiy, a security and crisis management consultant, speak with our Board of Education. He will be providing our District with valuable educational information including screening and detection considerations. He will also be available to answer questions posed by the Lindenwold Board of Education.

Safety Consultant Background:
IIya Umanskiy is one of the most established practitioners in security and crisis management across several world’s regions. He has advised governments of the United States, Malaysia, Philippines, Tasmania, and Hong Kong. Mr. Umanskiy developed and taught a graduate course on security management at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice – his Alma Mater.
Ilya has been advising primary and higher education institutions on security measures since 2005. He has completed numerous security assessments and provided guidance on optimization of operational, technological, and physical enhancements for K-12 schools and universities. He has also designed electronic security systems for multiple organizations in the US and abroad.

The District has invited Mr. Ilya Umanskiy, a security and crisis management consultant, to speak with our Board of Education for the purpose of education. He will be presenting on the overall state of school safety in 2024. He will also be able to share information on screening and detection considerations. Mr. Umanskiy will also answer be able to answer BOE questions about security technologies - such as "metal detectors."
It is important to understand - Mr. Umanskiy has NOT conducted a comprehensive security assessment of our District. He will NOT be advising the District on changes or recommendations for our specific safety structure at this time.
But rather he is attending our special Board of Education meeting to educate our Board and community members on this critically important topic. Come on out to learn more!

Notable projects by IIya Umanskiy:
United Nations Headquarters in New York City – Security Project Leader
• Design of all technical security measures, including the Secretary General’s suite and the campus Command & Control Center.
• Coordination with UN Security, Capital Project Office, US Government, and a group of 12 design
consultancies and 6 implementation contractors.
Jewish Community Relations Council of New York – Security Advisor for various organizations, including K-12
• Assistance with grant assessments (over 80 in the last few years)
• Training and resources for the JCRC security team
• Assistance with project implementation, including security technologies
Singapore International School – Security Project Leader
• Assessment of all operational, technological, and physical security controls
• Guidance on the roadmap for security improvements, including significant upgrades to existing technologies
Borough of Manhattan Community College, Fiterman Hall – Security Project Leader
• Design of all technical security measures and operational controls for this project, including security control center.
• Coordination with a team of design consultants, including the architect, MEP engineer, and others.
