The Walled Lake Consolidated School District invites the community to the 23rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022. This year's event will be held virtually with the program streamed live on the District website and social media channels starting at 6 p.m.
The event will feature keynote speaker Rabbi Yarden Blumstein, teen Mentor and mental health expert. Blumstein will speak about this year’s theme “Together We’re Better”.
The program will also include performances by student choirs, presentations by several students about their “Express Yourself” projects, and recognition of this year’s Alec Bender Friend of Diversity Award recipients. Student art work will also be featured throughout the presentation.
This year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration is made possible thanks to generous donations from the PTA/PTSA groups from across our district, including the Walled Lake School Administrators Association.
