FHS - On the Plus Side
FHS (Week Ending March 15th)
On the Plus Side
...is a simple reminder of some the positive events that happen at Framingham High School every week. #flyerpride
FHS Model Congress
Over February Break, the FHS Model Congress attended the Harvard Model Congress in Boston. Out of 1500 delegates from 85 schools, FHS senior Devin Cox was awarded "Best Delegate" of the conference. This was a big win for Devin and for Framingham!
Locura de Marzo
Locura de marzo is a yearly competition of music from the Spanish-speaking world. Students from all over the US and the world vote on their favorite songs, slowly eliminating options until a winning song is named. Many teachers in our World Language Dept. participate with their students throughout the month of March. There is an equivalent March madness in French as well. This picture is of one of our classes standing in front of this year's bracket.
EAC (Environmental Awareness Club)
This week, honors biology students from Mrs. Maynard's class visited the gallery exhibit A Few Degrees More and were given informational tours from EAC (Environmental Awareness Club) members, like Gabby Vivieros. (Pictured)
Student Advisory Council
SAC held open focus groups to discuss a litany of topics that affect the FHS community. Over 20 students met to discuss issues like school safety, parking, busses, school spirit, advisory, and more. Students shined as they were able to share their ideas and concerns not just with SAC but also Dr. Anthony Pope, Asst. Superintendent for Equity, Belonging, and Community Engagement.
Music in Our Schools
What’s that on stage at Framingham High School? It’s 110 students from across our middle schools and high school performing together at our #musicinourschools jazz concert! Cameron Middle School, Fuller Middle School, Walsh Middle School.
Red Cross Club
The Red Cross had another successful blood drive on Saturday March 16th. They were able to collect 25 units of blood to help neighbors in need. We couldn’t have done it without the help of the 15 FHS volunteers working the drive! Donated blood can help many types of patients: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients and those battling cancer. Did you know that every two seconds someone in the US needs blood?
Rational Functions :)
Short video of Precalc students singing a song about rational functions to another math class.
Please Note
This is not meant to be a comprehensive list as we have so many great events happening at FHS.....each week different events, activities and groups will be highlighted.
