VACCINES
The Road To Recovery
The Creator
Vaccines were invented by Louis Pasteur. Louis was a French Chemist who discovered airborne microbes were the main/biggest cause to diseases. He invented vaccines for rabies and anthrax. Pasteur isn't the only one who invented vaccines; it is actually known that Edward Jenner created the first successful vaccines, which was a vaccine for smallpoxs.

Why kill the diseases
Pasteur invented vaccines to fight the "diseases" of wine which he found were caused by microorganisms. He developed a theory that the organisms could be killed/fought off by heated the substance to a temperature in between 140-210 degrees Fahrenheit. Later he discovered it was caused by many spoiling dairy products like milk and cheese. Almost every vaccine today is the same as it was in the 20th century. If vaccines weren't invented their would still be many of deaths due to the diseases that aren't being prevented. Vaccines are still used today to keep children and even adults immune to the sicknesses. The impact on this inventions led to people having better hygiene to try to help not getting sick and made less jobs available. If the people weren't getting sick anymore they wouldn't have as many people quit or not be able to work, therefore less replacements needed.

Hospital
This picture shows the mass group of people who would be in the hospitals during this time. Keep in mind these are only the people who could afford the hospital care.
Shots
Here is an example of a doctor giving a kid a shot to try and fight off his sickness.
Over-the-counter drugs
Aspirin was later invented as well as other medicines to help short term pain feelings. This helped a lot to people in pain with aches that couldn't be healed or weren't even known of at this time period.
Where were they fonded
Louis Pasteur officially invented vaccines by 1822. They were made in the French industries where Pasteur spent more of his studies. The picture to the left shows one of the vaccine factories.
