Jefferson Staff Featured in "School Library Journal Magazine"
School Library Journal Magazine has featured four Jefferson Academy teachers for their November web and print issue. "Remote Possibilities: Ed Tech Tips to Keep Students Engaged," highlighted how school librarians collaborated with classroom teachers to create dynamic lessons. The reporter included two examples of collaboration:
- Ms Burnett's Social Justice Class - an ice breaker activity using the GeoGuessr geography game.
- Ms Pierre's Health Class - collaborating with Pierre and Clinical Social Worker, Mrs. Tribue in teaching Cyberbullying/Social Media Cornerstones Lessons for National Bullying Prevention Month. Common Sense Education, Nearpod, MS Teams and WordItOut.com were the technology tools that were used to bring this lesson to life.
