GREETINGS FROM GUIDANCE
The counselors have been extremely busy as we have just finished up Sophomore Career Day with the Sophomore Academy. Students had the opportunity to meet and listen to professionals who spoke about the career paths that they chose. Counselors were also busy with the Freshman class, signing them into Naviance and having them complete career inventory surveys on themselves. Naviance is a fantastic tool for not only helping students explore different careers, but also in college planning and searches. All students and parents should have their own Naviance accounts. If you do not, you are encouraged to get in touch with your child's counselor, as they will easily set you up and assist you in navigating this important program.
PARCC scores are soon to be released as well. A video has been created on the LTPS website that explains how to read and understand student PARCC scores. If you should need more assistance in this area, again, please contact your counselor for help. Click HERE to access the video and read more about PARCC results.

LHS Transition Services
LHS Transition Services students have been hard at work serving our school and community with their amazing skills! Since the start of the year they have made goody bags for the Dachshund Rescue of Bucks County, professional business cards for Principal Adam, made and sold Breast Cancer Awareness buttons and thank-you note cards, and have even started a "Chocolate-of-the-Month" club! The student workers even made brochures for a recent statewide convention in Atlantic City.
Next up is the students' annual, ever-popular "Holiday Mart!" The students are making holiday items and 500 gift tags that they create using recycled holiday cards. All proceeds from the gift tags will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
We are so proud of the mark you are already making on the world!
Follow them on Facebook HERE.
