Kewaskum High School Mission and Vision
The vision of Kewaskum High School is to become the model high school for job-force driven programming and universal graduate success.
Message from the Principal
We hope all of you are enjoying a wonderful spring break together. The weather around here has not been great - so those of you that traveled a bit are looking very wise right now.
March was filled with amazing celebrations at KHS. We were treated to Shrek the Musical by our students and staff. A special thanks goes out to Mr. Chapel and Mrs. Nichols for directing this great production. Congratulations also goes out to our wrestling team for its first team state appearance in school history.
March also featured some outstanding career planning opportunities for our students. All sophomores were treated to Career Speaker Day on March 19, providing a glimpse into several career pathways and the work necessary to pursue these goals.
Our assessment season rolls on, as all freshmen and sophomores will be taking the Pre ACT Secure test the morning of April 11. This state test is required for all students in 9th and 10th grade, and assesses student proficiency in the areas of English, Math, Reading and Science. Additionally, this test serves as the precursor to the ACT junior year. All freshmen and sophomores are to report to the KHS cafeteria by 7:30 am on the morning of the 11th. The assessment should wrap up by approximately 11:30 - and students will be dismissed at that time. Students relying on the bus will be able to remain in the KHS cafeteria until the normal 2:45 dismissal. Students are to get a good night of sleep and a good breakfast before reporting to school, and are to be sure their chromebooks are fully charged and ready to go!
Students in grades 11 and 12 will not report to school on April 11. Instead, they will be completing assigned work for each of their classes asynchronously. Attendance will be confirmed for students by evidence of completed work. Therefore, it is critical that students complete and submit assigned work by 9:00 pm on the 11th. Additional details regarding the Pre ACT and the asynchronous day of learning can be found at this link.
Please follow our announcements, webpage, and district Facebook page for all of our happenings and celebrations. Thank you for your support and participation in all of the great things happening at KHS!
Be well,
Scott Stier - KHS Principal

CAPP Course Registration for 2024-2025
Next year’s CAPP students will need to apply to the CAPP program through UW Oshkosh. The CAPP representative from UW Oshkosh will be here Monday, April 8 during Morning 30 to help students apply. All of next year’s CAPP students (for all three trimesters) should report to the theater that morning after attendance. Students should plan to attend even if they are not 100% sure if they’re taking the course(s) for CAPP credit. Note: This part of the process is free and enrolls students in the system only. Registration and payment are separate, and will be due after the start of the course(s). An email with additional information will be sent stating what information is needed prior to the meeting. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mrs. Peterson.
