West Briar MS School Updates: Week 11
Principal's Message
Celebrating Red Ribbon Week last week filled our campus with smiles and plenty of laughter! Students and staff demonstrated their commitment to a drug-free message through a variety of dress-up days (pictures below). Please know that we want the fun activities to continue at West Briar as we uphold campus guidelines and expectations for free-dress days. Students did an excellent job of adhering to dress-code guidelines and therefore, we hope to have a Holiday Spirit Week in December.
November 1st kicks off our PTO's Silent (virtual) Auction and details are below. Our West Briar PTO supports our entire campus, our teachers, and all Grizzlies with a variety of activities and needs. Everyone benefits from their supports and we hope you'll consider checking out the Auction or helping out in other ways.
There are two more full weeks in Cycle 2, so please remind your students to check their grades in Power School and get all assignments and activities finished and submitted.
Let's make it a wonderful start to November!

ICYMI: Say Something- Anonymous Reporting System
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Sandy Hook- Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS) is a free program that teaches middle and high school youth (and the adults around them) how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others. This program emphasizes that students should Say Something to a trusted adult or use the Say Something anonymous reporting system.
The SS-ARS program logo & button below shows the three methods students can submit an anonymous report.
21-22 Student Handbook Reminder
Students who accumulate over a certain number of tardies will receive a consequence based on the number they've totaled. At the start of each Grading Cycle, tardies re-set to zero so that students can start over.
Please encourage your students to be in their class when the tardy bell rings by not wasting time in the hallways.
