Why should we have good dental hygiene?
Having good dental hygiene is very important!
Why?
When your teeth are healthy you feel good about yourself. Good hygiene is also detrimental to your overall well being! Tooth problems can lead to gum disease, heart disease, diabetes, the inability to eat properly, systemic infections, and the inability to speak correctly.

Does Good Dental Hygiene Affect More Than Just Your Teeth?
What can you do to have good dental hygiene?
- Brush your teeth thoroughly twice a day (morning and night) and floss.
- Eat a balanced diet.
- Use products that contain fluoride--but don't use too much!
- Try to stay away from sticky food or treats such as raisins and fruit snacks.
- Avoid Tobacco.
- Drink milk! Try to limit your intake of pop, alcohol and coffee.
- Visit the dentist twice a year to get your teeth cleaned.
- Brush your tongue.
