Sherlock Holmes - Death Cloud
Sherlock Holmes
Plot of Death Cloud
Conflict - Sherlock's father fights in the war. I chose this point as the conflict because it's where everything starts. Because he isn't home, Sherlock doesn't go to his usual vacation home, and ends up in England. He meets Matty and begins his adventures solving mystery and fighting crime.
Rising Action - The story begins heating up when Sherlock begins following the faint, but still traceable set of clues leading him up to the climax. However, I believe the climax is very early on in the story.
Climax - I think the climax is when Sherlock chooses to investigate what the yellow substance is around the dead bodies. If he had not done this, the mystery would have never been solved.
Falling Action - I prefer not to call the rest of this story "Falling Action" because things are still exciting. However, I could find no other significant choice he made to impact the story as much as the latter. During the Falling Action Sherlock tracks down the man behind everything and confronts him.
Resolution - The conflict is resolved when Sherlock and Matty blow up the fort that would've otherwise killed thousands of men.
Theme - The theme of Sherlock Holmes - Death Cloud is that while "The Good" is certainly worth fighting for, it may be incredibly difficult to do what's right.
Other Stuff
After being on holiday for a little while, Sherlock ventures out and meets a boy named Matty, who seems uneasy and a little jumpy. Upon interrogating him, He learns of a "cloud of death" Matty believes to be killing people. Sherlock first dismisses this ridiculous thought, but when he witnesses it for himself, he and Matty decide to search entire countries (literally) for the murderer. With the help of a new friend, Amyus Crowe, they track him down. However, their first attempt to take down the operation failed. They had to go all the way to france to shut everything down and save the day.
