Blanche Dodd Bobcat News

A message from Principal Bolz
It is difficult to believe that this week is our last week of school. We’ve been apart for nine weeks now, and I never dreamed we’d end the school year from a distance. Thank you, parents, for your patience and understanding as we launched an online school (something none of us had ever done before). Thank you for helping your children navigate the online community and help them to maintain their learning. Thank you, Dodd staff, for the way you stepped up to the plate and quickly became familiar with tools that most of you had never used. Thank you for the creative ways you developed to connect with and teach our students. Even though we were miles apart, we continued this new adventure together.
To our 5th grade class of 2020...you seemingly have been robbed of many milestones that you would normally take part in as you move from Elementary School to Middle School; however, let’s look at this situation in a different light. Let the trials and disappointment make you stronger. Let it demonstrate that you don’t have to be face-to-face with your peers and teachers to make a difference in others lives. Let these trials and disappointments make you ever aware and more appreciative of the fortune we have to attend school, to receive an education, and to be with others we enjoy. You are strong, you are problem solvers, and one day as you graduate from high school, you will look back on this year as just a bump in the road. 5th graders, we are proud of you and look forward to seeing what the future has in store for you!
It's a great time to be a Dodd Bobcat, where we are...
