Principal's Message
In teaching you cannot see the fruit of a day's work. It is invisible and remains so, maybe for twenty years.
-Jacquez Barzun
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and it's our goal to celebrate YOU!!! You do an amazing job daily with students. You are absolutely the SUPERHEROES of our school. What we do daily could not be done without YOUR hard works, sacrifice and willingness to be the absolute BEST!!!
As I reflect on my own teaching career, I often think about those students I had during my first year! I feel so sorry for them...I'd love a redo...12 years later. Those students have graduated high school and many of them are productive but I know I could have been better. My last year in the classroom was one of my best! Three years after leaving that school I received a package from my previous campus. There was a letter inside from the principal and an essay from one of my former students Yvette. The essay was about the person who most impacted their life. Yvette had written about me. I cried, and still cry when I read that essay. I did impact several students lives during my time in the classroom and the impact doesn't stop.
Your students think of you, just as you think of them. It may be a while before you'll ever know the kind of impact although it may seem invisible at times, the impact remains. Keep doing the right thing----They are watching and your IMPACT will be GREAT!!!!
The work you do with students each day is valuable I appreciate you beyond measure. Thank you!!!!
Let's make it a GREAT week!
