Weekly Family Communication
The mission of Holy Rosary School is to help each child discover and fully develop their God-given talents. As a Catholic School community, we strive for excellence in our students’ spiritual, academic, physical, mental, aesthetic, and social-emotional growth. It is our intention that those who attend this institution mature into active citizens leading a committed faith life and reaching out to help others locally, nationally, and internationally with their wisdom, time, talent, and financial resources.
Principal's Message
Dear Holy Rosary Families,
We've entered the Triduum, the most significant days in the Liturgical Year. During these three days we walk alongside Jesus in His final days and celebrate His glorious resurrection on Easter. Today we held special Faith Family prayer services to commemorate the Last Supper and Holy Thursday. I encourage families to come to Mass tonight at 7:00 pm, for the Mass of the Lord's Supper. Tomorrow we experience Jesus' death on the cross on Good Friday, and the school will pray the living Stations of the Cross together at 11:00 in the church led by our junior high leadership students. All families are welcome to join us for this powerful prayer. As a reminder, Friday is not a free dress day; all students should come in perfect uniform on Friday.
One of the very special things about being a Catholic school principal is the ability to journey alongside students and families as they grow in their own faith. This year we have a number of students in our school who will receive sacraments at the Great Easter Vigil this Saturday night, including Baptism and or Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. Please join me in praying for these students: Cade C., Isla F., Gus I., Harry I., , Zoe W., Leander B., Asher B., Gigi P., Madeleine M., Phoebe L., Silas L., Olive Flatt, and Leo F.
I wish you all a very blessed Triduum, and a restful spring break!
In Christ,
Anna
PS- We expect the announcement regarding the Pastoral assignments for our new parish family the weekend of April 6/7 during the weekend Masses. Stay tuned for more information.
Lenten Activities To Help You & Your Family Grow In Faith
Easter Triduum– March 28-31, 2024
This week is the holiest week of the year in the Catholic church. The three days leading up to Easter contain some of the most beautiful traditions of the Catholic church as we remember Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice and resurrection for us all.
Ways to celebrate in your home:
Holy Thursday – Have dinner and call it “the last supper” and tell the story of what happened that night in the upper room. Set up a foot washing station and take turns washing each other’s feet as Jesus did for his disciples.
Good Friday – Complete the stations of the cross either at home or at church. Observe a period of silence between 1-3pm when we remember the time Jesus was on the cross. During this time, you could read books, do activity sheets, or word puzzles about Good Friday.
Holy Saturday – If you can, attend the Easter Vigil! It is a beautiful mass celebrated just once a year! Use this day to prepare for Easter Celebrations as it is a day of preparation as we transition from Lent to the Easter season.
Easter Sunday – Rejoice and celebrate at church and with your family! Don’t forget, Easter lasts a full week, Sunday to Sunday!

Ms. Megan’s Counselor Updates
I hope that this Lenten season has been a time of reflection and peace. This month our #WinatSocial focus for 5th-8th grade has been using our mics (voices) for good. The themes of caring for our neighbors and almsgiving aligned nicely with the Lenten season. In Kindergarten-4th grade we focused on loving our neighbors as ourselves and positive peer relationships. Please let me know what questions you have or how I can support: mchoitz@holyrosaryws.org.
