Bobcat Buzz
Vol.1: Week 6 October 13, 2017
Welcome to Our House "Where Character Matters"
Our community joined together for our bi-weekly den meeting and to celebrate our students showing great character. Our den meeting focus was on disability awareness and showing kindness to others even if they are different. We showed a short film about a little girl named Tamara (shared below) and discussed the feelings Tamara and her mom might have.
Our Bobcats will also take part in a Disability Awareness Workshop on Monday, October 16th (grades K-2) and Tuesday, October 17th (grades 3-5). Students will start in the library with a service dog presentation and then report to the gym for 6-10 stations focused on overcoming differences like vision impairments, hearing impairments, autism, learning disabilities and mobility impairments.
