5 Things Happening at Gulf Coast
- Financial Aid Night will be held in the Media Center tonight at 6:30 pm. If you would like assistance with the FAFSA form, there will be representatives from Champions for Learning beginning at 5:00 pm.
- In the mood for a night of music and entertainment, our Drama department will be presenting the musical Footloose on October 12th and 13th at 7:00 pm in our auditorium. There will also be a matinee show at Noon on Saturday, October 12th. Ticket prices are $10 for students and $15 for adults. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at the ticket window outside of the auditorium. It is an amazing show!
- Attention Seniors, the link for you to purchase your cap and gown is the following: https://highschool.herffjones.com/secom/school/FL/Gulf%2BCoast%2BHigh%2BSchool/09005270000/2311/home. You can also get their by typing highschool.herffjones.com and type in the name of our school. A Herff Jones representative will also be here for during lunch on October 14 and 15 for any Senior that would like to purchase their cap and gown as well as graduation announcements and spirit items.
- Our National Honor Society is still accepting applications from qualifying Juniors and Seniors. Please make sure that you fill out the application and meet all of the requirements to be in the club. Applications are due to the front office by the end of the day on Monday, October 14.
- On October 16th, Gulf Coast will administer a Free PSAT test. All 9th, All 10th, and invited 11th grade students will be taking the exam. Select 11th grade students can sign up to take the exam if they were not invited at a cost of $17 in the Guidance office. The test will take a majority of the morning hours, so it is very important to be at school on time. Students who will not be testing will be having a rotating schedule working on different topics such as: Naviance, Social Emotional Learning, Study Hall, and FAFSA support. There will be no traditional classroom instruction until after lunch.
