EVERYONE must reapply for being a volunteer. The system was cleaned out and you must reapply. Remember, if you want to be a chaperone or work events, you must be approved. If you are an employee of CCPS, you still need to complete the volunteer process for participation in events at school.

· Instructional School Day - 9:25AM – 4:05PM
- Arrival window for cars and bus: 9:15AM-9:25AM
- Dismissal window for Daily Car Riders- 3:50PM-4:05PM
- Dismissal window for bus: 4:10PM-4:20PM
· School Colors - Blue and White – Friday Spirit Days- Classes are assigned a Flock color as well. More to come on that!

Counselor's Corner
From Ms. Hilton and Ms. Shade: March 16, 2024
· Our Character Trait of the Month for March is TEAMWORK! We will continue to teach, emphasize, and reinforce the importance of being a good teammate throughout the month!
· Our classroom counseling lessons this month will align with our character trait of the month, and we will focus on TEAMWORK! During our lessons, we will explore traits of a team and how to be strong teammate.
· A big thank you to our 5th grade families for returning the middle school registration forms. Congratulations to Mrs. Montague’s class—her class was the first to return ALL registration forms!
• Plum Point Middle School is hosting a 6th grade information night on 5/1. Please see the attached flier.
• Windy Hill Middle School is hosting a 6th grade information night on 5/16. Please see the attached flier.
• Northern Middle School is hosting a 6th grade information night on 5/22. Please see the attached flier.
· Save the Date! Student Services will be holding a “Spring into Wellness” event on May 9th from 4:30-6:30 at CHS.
· On March 17th 12:30-2:30, Bayside Baptist Church will host the Twin Beaches Opioid Awareness Coalition.
· April 27th 10am-2pm is Calvert County Prescription Medication Take-Back Day. There are different drop off locations.
· We have noticed that our Lost and Found is OVERFLOWING!! Encourage your student to visit the lost and found to look for any lost items.
· Career Day is right around the corner! If you are interested in sharing your career with our students, please sign up for Career Day on April 19th!

· SES has joined with Friendship Community Baptist Church for our HeartFELT (Filling Empty Little Tummies) program. The HeartFELT program provides qualifying students with meals and snacks each weekend. If you would like more information or would like your child to participate in the HeartFELT program, please contact your student’s school counselor to sign up.
· Should your family need assistance with school supplies (now or during the school year), please contact your child's classroom teacher or counselor.

- Our Lost and Found in the cafeteria is overflowing! Please encourage your child to check for any missing coats or jackets.
- Testing: MISA (5th) grade - March 12th-15th Students will begin taking the assessment at 11am and will complete it before 12:30pm. They will test Tuesday-Friday.
- 5th Grade Families- See the Counselor's Corner for the middle school orientation fliers from PPMS and WHMS. Once we receive the information from NMS, we will share.
