Principal's notes for the week of 10/4/21
Park Hall Families,
As we enter the fifth week of school, students are settling into routines and progressing well with their learning. Thank you families for sending your children ready to learn each day.
Thank you to those that were able to attend our Title I Reading Night. If you were not able, the presentation is attached at the bottom of this newsletter.
Mark your calendars for School Picture Day on October 18. Forms to purchase pictures will be sent home next week.
All parents should be able to log into Schoology. Parents new to Park Hall should have received an email with login information from Schoology. Please email schoology@smcps.org if you are having difficulty logging in.
SMCPS has multiple positions available to support our students and staff, including full-time and part-time positions in various areas. Employment opportunities can be found on the SMCPS website.
The Abacus Corporation provides part-time/temporary positions to support SMCPS as well. Various positions are also available through the Abacus Corporation and can be found on the Abacus website.
The County Government has asked that we share this link to their press release asking for community input into the revisions of the St. Mary's County Comprehensive Plan. According to the county, "results from the survey will provide ways to document shared goals and objective and maintain and enhance the quality of life in St. Mary's County for years to come."

- MCAP make-up testing will be done throughout the week for 4th and 5th grades
Tuesday 10/5
- PE Show practice 3:45-5:00 pm (intermediate students)
Wednesday 10/6
- Family Fitness night 5-6 pm
Thursday 10/7
- Happy Thursday!
Friday 10/8
- FARM to School day. Students should dress up like farmers today. Students will be learning about farming, get to see farm animals, try local produce, and see tractors.
PTA News
- Friday 10/29- Trunk or Treat from 5pm-7pm- volunteer sign-up flyers should be going home with students this Friday 10/1.
Introduction to Park Hall Elementary
Park Hall Elementary School provides a rich educational experience that focuses on preparing well rounded students that are ready to succeed in their future college and career endeavors. Park Hall educates and inspires our diverse population in a safe and respectful environment. Students are engaged in authentic learning experiences that foster work habits and skills necessary to become collaborative, dedicated, and productive citizens.
