Advocacy Note
The Holidays are fast approaching! Holidays are an exciting time for most people but for some it can be stressful. Weather changes are known to affect mental health too. Here is an article about how some people can be affected. It is important to talk to your student everyday about how they are feeling. I continue to complete individual counseling at all four school sites. In these lessons we work on self-advocating, self-regulation, self-awareness, and health/appropriate coping skills.
I have small counseling group lessons at the Elementary and Intermediate School. If you would like your student included, please complete the small group consent under counseling forms in this newsletter.
I am completing monthly whole class counseling lessons at the Junior High. Our third lesson was on Facts about drugs including prescription medicine. This coincided with Red Ribbon Week.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
