- April 12th, Dental Sealant Program
We're excited to announce that Mora School will be hosting the Minnesota School Sealant Program on April 12th, providing your child with the opportunity to receive essential preventive dental services right here at school. A licensed dental professional will be on-site to offer sealants, cleanings, and fluoride varnishes to students from PreK to 12th grade.
To ensure your child can benefit from these services, we kindly ask you to complete and return the consent form that was sent home via both email and paper copy. Simply fill in your child's information and send it back to school at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter, and we look forward to helping your child maintain a healthy smile!
Game time!
6th graders enjoyed some board games and conversation during snack break.
Food Drive
The 6th grade students collected and organized 1,854 items for the food drive. We give a big thank you to everyone that donated!
Make Way for Ducklings!
We had some special visitors this afternoon in Miss Bakker's class! The ducklings were adorable, and it was so special to pet them and see how active they are - they're little escape artists! It's been a week full of baby birds for us with being able to hold and pet the baby chicks in Mrs. Halverson's class, too!
The Garden
This week, we read Frog and Toad: The Garden this week. Then, we planted beans in greenhouses and plants in decorated pots! In our story, it talked about what plants need to thrive: not being read to, music, or being told to “start growing”. They need time, sunlight, and water. :)

It’s that time of year still! Here at the Mora Public Schools, we are still seeing tons of common school-age illnesses. So parents, please be mindful when sending your student to school. Always try to make sure they are feeling their best, so they can be present and ready to learn for the day. Most of the school-age illnesses are harmless, but they can still spread like rapid fire. Some of those common illnesses seen include: common cold, stomach flu, strep throat, pink eye and influenza, just to name a few. We do have covid tests in the health office if needed. We do ask that you keep your student home for at least 24 hours for any illnesses that include fever over 100.0, vomiting and diarrhea. If you ever have any questions, or are wanting any more information please feel free to reach out to the health office staff. The best way to prevent illnesses from spreading is by washing your hands!!
Thank you so much for all you do and helping to keep our students happy and healthy!
