Holocaust
Night
What the Holocaust did to the prisoners
It changed them in many ways. They became selfish, they would do anything and kill anyone including family just so they could live. It usually ended in them fighting to the death to have a small sliver of bread. They soon couldn't think straight, so their decisions weren't the best.
Nothing but skin and bones
They barely had any food or water.
Kept in barbed wire fences
It almost seemed like they were stuck in a big cage and they couldn't get out.
Death
The Germans killed Jews by gassing, shooting, and starving them to death.
Themes
Many themes included faith and how important it is to have it. How family and just having someone there for you can help you out so much. It also helps you realize that death matters and it can happen anytime. It shows how a bond between two people can be so strong.
How it changed me as a person
The novel made me realize never to take things for granted because there could be moment where everything could slip away in a matter of seconds. You should love like you have never been loved.
