The Island on Bird Street

Summary
This story is about a little boy named Alex. When they woke up they heard bombings and sirens. The Germans were coming. They lined up outside. The Germans were sending away the people they didn't need (Jews). His father had a plan. When I give you a push you run. When the time was right he pushed Alex, I will see you in a week or a month. Alex ran to the old house the Germans were coming after him. Once he was in the tiny hole the Germans could never get him. Only a small child like him could fit in it. Soon the Germans left. Now he was there alone. He remembered when his mom left to go on a trip. She never came back. His father said that someone saw here and took her away. She is now stuck at that unknown place. Boruch was the man who gave tickets to the people who were getting on the train. Boruch knew him pretty well. Alex would have him over for dinner sometimes. Alex wondered where he was now.
The old house
He was in the old house alone, he could hear people talking. He was scared. He was in a dark tiny hole just waiting for his father. He was trying to stay calm. But he couldn't. He was to worried about if they were going to find him. What if he dies. He could hear the Germans from far away. They were being really loud.
The bombing
All he had heard was bombing and doors crashing open. The Germans were trying to find any people who were hiding in the city. They found some people and sent them away. He wanted to know where his father was. He wanted to know if everything was aright. But he knew he couldn't leave until his father came and got him. He was so happy he couldn't even explain it. His father was also very happy to see him to.
The Germans
The Germans were just waiting for anyone to come out of there hiding places. No one came out for days they were to afraid to get caught. But Alex was starving. He didn't care at that point. He was going to find some sort of food. His father finally found him at the end. It took a long time but they were so happy to be reunited. They moved away and now they are in a much safer place. They moved some where else.
Reunited
When the son and father reunited they were crying with joy. They couldn't even speak how happy they were. They couldn't wait to go back home and settle down for the night to get some sleep.
Bombing
When the bombing was going on. Everyone was terrified and scared. The Germans should be ashamed of them self's. They should have been the people lined up. It was a very sad time in life.
All lined up
When the Germans told them to go and line up. People didn't know why they hated the Jews. Everyone hatted the Germans. No one likes these days. Every on just wished the Germans would go away.
Character Traits
Alex was a very smart kid he new what to do and what not to do. Alex knew to not go out of the house so he didn't. Even when his father was at work he knew not to go out of the house. Alex was a young boy probably about 11. He has brown hair. His father was very kind and sweet. His father was protective. He wouldn't let Alex go out of his sight. His father always knew where he was. His father wouldn't want him to get lost or hurt. He knew that he was to put Alex in a safe place so Alex wasn't supposed to get hurt. Boruch was a strict man but he had a nice and sweet side. He was the man who gave out tickets to the people getting on the train. He was like a grandpa to Alex.
