End of Third Grading Period
The end of the third grading period is Friday, March 8. The end of the 9 weeks is a great time to check in on your child’s progress. We report grades at the end of each semester so that students have a longer time to demonstrate what they know and can do. Our focus is on mastery learning and supporting a growth mindset in our learners. Instructions for accessing Buzz are linked here. Please email cp2.0parenthelp@cps.k12.in.us if you are having issues accessing your Buzz account. Please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher should you have any questions about their progress or to learn more about how you can partner with us to support your child’s academic development.

Art News - Student Artwork Showcased at Crown Point Public Library
Please stop by the Crown Point Library to check out some of our student art work that will be showcased there through the month of March. The gallery opening was held this week. Our artists and their families loved seeing their artwork on display.
One School, One Book
Thank you to all of the students, families, and staff who are participating in One School, One Book by reading Stuart Little. We are having fun discussing the book, answering trivia questions, and engaging in activities in the classrooms and specials areas. Check out the Margalo craft students completed during their time in the Media Center. Older students are learning about origami and making origami Margalo birds. We are looking forward to the culmination of the book next week.
PTO Corner
Today marks the mid-way point for our 1st Annual Read-a-thon. Our total raised as of today is $7,761. We have 132 student campaigns and a total of 246 donors that have contributed on Zeffy. Wow, wow, wow. We are honestly speechless, but so incredibly grateful. This fully funds our budget for this school year and allows us to start next school year off on the right foot.
AND THERE ARE STILL 2 WEEKS LEFT. We can't wait to see your students' reading logs after spring break to really get a feel for how much reading everyone did over the month. And let's not forget the prizes and raffles! Who's going to win??
DOES YOUR STUDENT HAVE A BINGO? Teachers collect Bingo cards every Wednesday. We will return the Bingo sheet with your student's prize.
DO YOU STILL NEED TO REGISTER YOUR STUDENT? See below for link and steps to register.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE YOUR STUDENT FEATURED ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE AS A READ-A-THON READER SPOTLIGHT? We would LOVE to hear about their love of reading and what interests them! Email a photo of your student, their name, grade, favorite book, book character and a sentence or two about them to solonrobinsonpto@gmail.com.
