What is the FDA???
The FDA is an organization that assures the safety of foods, cosmetics medicines, and medical devices that are released to the public. FDA stands for U.S Food and Drug Administration.
What Does It Do???
The FDA makes sure that nothing dangerous gets into the products that are released to the public. They make sure that no bad or expired food is in the stores, and that no dangerous substances get into products like shampoo, or make-up.
Who Does It Help??
The FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.
What Does the FDA Invest In?
The FDA invests much of their money into the secure transportation of food, drugs, and consumer goods. They also invest in medical research for cures for common diseases. Money also goes into research for better drugs that treat sickness more effectively. The FDA usually spends 4.8 million dollars on marketing.
What Should Regular Consumers Know????
On the back of every product that is looked over by the FDA there is a FDA seal that approves the product. Near this seal there are also several facts pertaining to the product. These can include how the product should be used, or what the product does.
