School Board Meeting with Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe
On Thursday, November 10th, the Board of Directors held the annual meeting with the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Council to honor our government-to-government partnership.
The Board and Tribal Council heard from staff who work throughout the district teaching Klallam Language, hosting educational programs, and providing student and staff support with our Native American Interventionist and Liaison teams. They also reviewed reports showing the rise in graduation rates amongst our Native students and uncovered areas where we can better support our students.
The Board expressed deep gratitude to the Tribe and support staff members for their time and willingness to strengthen our government-to-government partnership.
