Cokato Elementary Newsletter
May 2024
A message from Mr. Anderson
What a year it has been! I am so proud of the students and staff at Cokato Elementary. Our students and staff members come ready to work together for the whole day, and while some days may be harder than others, I know that I can count on them both to do the best they can.
This summer will see our computer lab turn into an intervention space for staff members to work with students individually or in small groups. This explicit instruction helps our students to gain the skills they need in order to stay on track with their grade level and is an essential part of some student's success. We are excited to have dedicated spaces to be able to provide this instruction for our students.
The summer lunch program is happening this year again at our school. Our nutrition specialists make thousands of meals in the summer for any children that are 0-18 years old. I would encourage families to participate in this program as they can!
Thank you to all parents for partnering with our school this year- we do appreciate all you do for your children!

Students are given Charger Pride slips when they display different acts of Character; Respect, Responsibility, Resiliency, Integrity, Compassion or Understanding Diversity. One slip per grade level is drawn every other week!

Cokato Elementary reached their goal this year! The students that helped raise money were able to participate in the Human Hungry Hippo and Pie in the Face! Who wouldn't want to pie the principal in the face?!?! What a great way to celebrate their hard work! Thank you to our students and community for participating!
Read-A-Thon
Cokato Elementary extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to our school community! We're incredibly proud of our readers and grateful for your support, which made our fundraiser a success. Our students had a wonderful time reading and we were able to raise over $1,000 that goes directly to our school. We can't wait to host another Read-A-Thon next year!
Thanks again,
Cokato Elementary
