From Mr. Goodwin - Piano
Often when I go to the stage the Grand Piano is uncovered, and the fall board is open with keys showing.
Other times I find books and other items laying on top of the piano. I have even found leftover food trays and food on top of the piano.
Piano specifics:
Baldwin, 9 foot, Concert Grand Piano.
Value $60,000- $125,000.
(In 1995 the median price for similar pianos was $56,500!)
When the Theater was renovated in 1998 the piano was overhauled/refurbished at a cost of $10,000.
Piano Etiquette:
Never put anything on top of a piano you do not own.
Just because you see a piano (or any musical instrument) does not mean you have permission to use/play it.
If you do have permission to use it please close and cover it.
Respect the piano as a really expensive instrument that can be damaged easily by careless actions.
If you use the theater regularly please do not allow students to play the piano without permission.
Ms. Brown
MIS Update
It looks like we are experiencing an issue with Office 2013. Office 2103 consists of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. MIS engineers have been made aware of this issue and are working to get it resolved as quickly as possible.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have it resolved soon.
