Math
7th grade will cover the next several modules included in Unit 7 dealing with similarity, slope, and linear functions before moving into Unit 4 on data analysis and sampling. They will cover scatter plots, proportional reasoning, using statistics and graphs to compare data, and two way tables. They will then conclude the year with applications of real world numbers and exponents, area and volume, and probability.
Science
After completing their STEM project, the 7th graders have moved back into our science curriculum studying populations, communities, and ecosystems. Upon completion they will begin a study of distribution of natural resources, human impacts on the environment, waves and electromagnetic radiation, and electricity and magnetism to complete the year.
Mrs. Bradley’s Classes
7th grade will finish reading their novel An Invisible Thread. They will move on to Unit 5: Game On! They will attempt to answer the essential question: How do games impact our lives? Students will read multiple genres throughout this study. They will wrap up the unit with a short story of their own.
