How did Archimedes effect the World?
This effected the world because when Archimedes found out the physics behind pulleys and levers it allowed people in Archimedes generation to be able to lift up heavy objects because in his time they didn't have machinery to lift up building blocks and stuff like that.
Why does this matter?
If Archimedes hadn't found out about pulleys and levers in his time then just now we would still be learning the physics behind them and we would still be hurting ourselves trying to pick up heavy objects.
Fun Facts!
- Archimedes made a spiral screw that when you turned it, it allowed water to travel up. This invention is still used today.
- Archimedes was killed by a impatient roman solider.
- Archimedes made a system of pulleys and levers so complex that the Royal King Heroin was able to pull a royal ship full of passengers by himself.
- Archimedes made a weapon called "The Claw" the claw was a machine that when enemies ship would come up to attack the claw would lift them out of the water.
- Archimedes also found out about how catapults worked
