Interior Angles
The angle between adjacent sides of a rectilinear figure.
Exterior Angles
The angle between a side of a rectilinear figure and an adjacent side extended outward.
Vertical Angles
Each of the pairs of opposite angles made by two intersecting lines.
translation
Moving a shape, without rotating or flipping it. “sliding”.
reflection
An image or shape as it would be seen in a mirror.
rotation
A circular movement.
dilation
To resize something.
enlargement
To make larger.
corresponding angles
The angles that occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others. If the two lines are parallel, the corresponding angles are equal.
scale factor
A number used as a multiplier in scaling.
surface area
The total area of the surface of a three-dimensional object.
volume
The amount of space that a substance or object occupies, or that is enclosed within a container, esp. when great.
circumference
The enclosing boundary of a curved geometric figure, esp.
supplementary angles
Either of two angles whose sum is 180°.
Complementary angles
Either of two angles whose sum is 90°.
