St. Luke Weekly SMORE

Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
Happy Easter to all of you and your families! I hope that you had a very joyful and blessed Easter weekend and are busy celebrating what we Catholics call Bright Week! The next season of Easter lasts quite some time, all the way up until Pentecost. This Bright week is a time that reminds us of the greatest miracle of all - the Risen Lord and the empty tomb. God sat and prayed while the sins of the world were placed upon His Son. And then He rose! Reactions to Jesus doing the unbelievable varied. Mary Magdalene was quite prepared to wait for any news at all, in her sadness, and thus Jesus did return to her whilst the other disciple just could not believe and ran home in fear. As we partake in the amazing journey of the miracle of our Risen Lord, may we all continue our own walk with Christ as we are certainly Better Together! May the blessings of this Easter season be a pleasant and comforting reminder of just how much our God loves us all. Let us pray,
Lord, we lift our hearts to you. As the dawn breaks, may we carry the unity we share into every moment knowing that we are one with the risen Christ. Lord, we lift our eyes to you. As the sun rises, may this moment stay with us, reminding us to look for the beautiful colors of promise in your word. Lord, we lift our prayers to you. As the dew air falls, may we breathe this morning and know that like the earth, you sustain us, keep us and work within us always. And so, we lift our voices to you. We celebrate the greatest day in history, when Jesus rose from death, defeated darkness and bathed the world in stunning resurrection light. May we ever live to praise you! Amen.
Blessings,
Mrs. Cathy Hinger
