The Great Northern American Eclipse
The Great Northern American Eclipse on April 8, 2024, is a rare and unique event that will take place during school hours. To ensure the safety of our students and staff, the Muskego-Norway School District has decided to have students remain indoors during the peak hours of the eclipse, which will be from noon until 3:00 PM. Students will not be allowed to go outside to view the eclipse.
For more information about the eclipse, you can follow this link: www.nasa.gov/nasalive
We understand that this might be disappointing for those who were looking forward to observing the eclipse outdoors. Our priority remains the safety of the students and by experiencing the eclipse digitally, we can ensure that everyone will be safe while watching the eclipse.
WI Forward Exam
All Wisconsin students in grades 3 - 8 and 10 will be participating in the Wisconsin Forward Exam this spring. Our school’s testing schedule is as follows:
April 11th
- Grades 5 - 8: Math
April 16th
- Grades 5 - 8: English Language Arts
The Forward Exam assesses student performance in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics for students in grades 3 through 8, in science in grades 4 and 8, and in Social Studies in 4, 8, and 10. The Forward Exam is an online assessment, which utilizes multiple choice and written responses to assess student knowledge. To minimize time out of class, it is very important that your child(ren) be in school during the testing window identified above. Students not in school on testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.
The Forward Exam measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Please encourage your child(ren) to take the test seriously and do the best they can. The results of these tests may be used to help school staff make determinations or placement in classes to best support your child(ren).
In preparation for our testing days, please remind your child(ren) to bring corded headphones to school and fully charge their Chromebook the night before.
If you have any questions, please contact Chad Krupar, Principal, or John McEwing, Associate Principal, directly at 262-971-1820.

Bus Conduct
We would like to remind you that bus behavior is an extension of the school day and riding on the bus is a privilege afforded to our students. Just as we expect respectful and responsible behavior in the classroom, we also expect the same standards to be upheld while traveling to and from school. It's crucial for the safety and well-being of all students that good behavior is maintained on the bus. We kindly request your support in reinforcing this message with your child, emphasizing the importance of respectful conduct during their bus rides. Together, we can ensure a positive and safe environment for all students. Thank you for your cooperation.
