BFH Falcons' View
April 29 to May 3, 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Falcon students and families,
I hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying these last few beautiful days of April. This past week saw our incredible Drama students working extremely hard to prepare for their production of "The Lost Boy." Their incredible showing in the zone one act plays competition a week ago also highlighted how strong our Bev Facey students are in the realm of the Arts. I am really looking forward to taking in the production this week. There are still tickets available for this amazing show available at the school office so please don't hesitate to take part.
It's a very busy week at Bev Facey as we enter into the month of May. We have our May staff meeting early out day on Wednesday, May 1. Just a quick reminder that students will be dismissed and busses will be picked up at 2:17 p.m.. We're also excited to see how our excellent Men's and Lady's Handball teams do this week in the start of the Metro playoffs, and how our qualifying Badminton players do at Provincials this Friday and Saturday.
I encourage parents to get involved with our amazing school council staff recognition initiative, coming up on June 5, 2024. They are planning a barbecue for staff at the school as a gesture of appreciation. Please check out the information on how to get involved by volunteering or contributing below.
I hope you all have an awesome week and, as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Bev Facey School Council Staff Appreciation Event 2024
Bev Facey School Council Staff Appreciation Event 2024
Dear Parents & Guardians,
On Wednesday June 5, 2024, Bev Facey School Council is hosting our Staff Appreciation event. This has historically been an annual event, and this year our school council will be continuing to do so. It's a great opportunity for our Facey families to recognize ALL staff for their work, care and dedication to our children, and we know that many families would like to contribute to the success of this event.
Historically, Staff Appreciation has included a luncheon of donated food items to be enjoyed at the final staff meeting of the school year. As well, in the past there have been donations of items used as door prizes. This year we are happy to report that we will be putting on a BBQ for the staff after the staff meeting on Wednesday, June 5.
We will be accepting monetary donations which Pam Smith (our School Council Staff Appreciation Leader) will use to purchase food items for the BBQ. If you are interested in making a donation, gift cards and monies will be gratefully accepted in the front office. If you place it in an envelope with your email address, I can send you an email confirmation of receipt of your donation. As well we can accept e-transfers to pammysmith94@gmail.com and send confirmation. Please make a note in your e-transfer that it is for Staff Appreciation and include your first and last name. Any questions please reach out to Pam Smith.
If you would like to be a part of this wonderful day and help volunteer or to work along side with Pam to learn the process, please email Pam Smith for more information on how you can help.
