Research
A crunch works majorly your abs and lower back muscles. The crunch if done properly workd those mucsles. A crunch is when you have your knees bent in half and raise your chest up to your knees. A plant works your whole back and abs. The plank in resersh has a better burn rate of calories.

Hypothosis
If we measure heart rate after doing thirty seconds of crunches vs doing a thirty second plank then the plank would hvae increased our heart rate more because it burns more calories.

Conclusion
We claimed that if we measure heart rate after doing thirty seconds of crunches vs doing a thirty second plank then the plank would hvae increased our heart rate more because it burns more calories. Our evidence showed that we were correct. The averages for every persons heart rate after doing a thirty second plank was higher than after doing thirty seconds of crunches. The averages for planks were 110, 115.25, 101 and 100. The averages for crunches were 85, 99, 95 and 99. Our reasoning behind this ties back to our research showed that planks burn more calories than crunches. Burning calories takes work so to burn more calories would require more work and in turn raise your heart rate more.
