Support Your Timberwolf "Shake It Up Dance-a-Thon"
What is it? Our Dance-A-Thon is a fun event to encourage students to lead a healthy, active lifestyle! We will celebrate with our 2nd Annual “Shake It Up for Tiffany Ridge Dance-A-Thon”! The Dance-A-Thon will also raise money to continue at purchase new playground equipment (add-ons to this year's new equipment, shade structures, etc.) and to fund teacher grant requests for classroom projects. Park Hill funds are only available to cover a small portion of the cost for these items. This fundraiser will allow 100% of the money raised to be used for our students.
Our goal is to have 100% participation, with at least ONE pledge per student!
The classroom that raises the most pledge money will earn a special celebration!
Who can participate? All students can participate in the Dance-A-Thon. Families are encouraged to participate and assist their children in collecting pledges from family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. All students will participate in the Dance-A-Thon, even if they do not collect pledges. We will play fun music and have some games too, such as Limbo, the Chicken Dance, the Macarena, and the Hokey Pokey!
How does it work? Students collect pledges prior to the Dance-A-Thon and record them on the pledge envelope, which will be sent home prior to the Dance-A-Thon event. Please be sure to collect the money when the pledge is made. All pledge envelopes and money are due in the office by Tuesday, November 23rd. The goal is to raise money for our school, participate in healthy behaviors and have some fun with our friends! Thanks for your help to make this a successful event!

COVID-19 Vaccines for Students
Now that it's possible to get our younger students vaccinated, we can start looking at potential updates to our health and safety precautions, depending on the level of cases in our area.
Dates:
For families who choose to participate, the clinic for the first dose would be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Congress Middle School. The clinic for the second dose would be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Congress. The students would be considered fully vaccinated on Dec. 25.
Eligibility:
To get a vaccine at this clinic, the child must be a Park Hill School District or St. Therese School student and must be between five and 11 years old. The health department will not have any of the doses for older children or adults at this clinic.
Sign-Ups:
The Platte County Health Department has an online sign-up form. Families who want to participate should sign their children up ahead of time. During the final hour of the clinic, if there are any doses left, they might be able to help walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.
Assistance:
If you need help filling out the sign-up form or need any other assistance to be able to participate, contact social worker Gayle Laney.
Pediatricians:
Several local pediatricians will attend the clinics to be on hand if families have any questions.
Entertainment and Support:
High-school student volunteers from the A+ program will be available to help entertain and support the younger children while they wait for 15 minutes after the vaccination.
November Curriculum Connections
Check out the linked Curriculum Connections below to see what our Timberwolves will be working on in each subject area during the month of November! Your child's teacher is always happy to provide more details should you have questions!

Artsonia Holiday Special
What is an AMI (Alternate Method of Instruction) Day?
The state allocated five AMI (alternative methods of instruction) distance learning days, which means that on bad weather days, all students will learn from home from 9 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. On the sixth bad-weather day, we will call a snow day, which would mean all students, even Park Hill Online Academy students, will not have school.
Dr. Rios will email ALL Tiffany Ridge Families at 8:00am to let them know that they and their students will receive communication from their child's classroom teacher no later than 9:00 am. Your student's teacher will communicate learning plans for the day, including any times for zoom meetings and the specific learning plan for your students. For more information, see details at the link HERE.
