Special Education Advisory Committee for King William County
About Us
The King William Special Education Advisory Committee is comprised of a team of parents/guardians, advocates, and school representatives who advise the school division of needs in the education of children with disabilities, by submitting recommendations to the School Board, and participating in the development of priorities and strategies for students with disabilities within our schools and communities. All community members, parents with students in King William Schools, and teachers who have an interest in helping students with disabilities succeed in school and in our community are welcome and invited to participate.
Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the Hamilton Holmes Middle School Library from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Guest Speakers
* Dr. Crystal Shin, Managing Attorney for the Special Education Advocacy Clinic at William
and Mary will speak on Special Education Law and Advocacy issues
* Hank Milward of the Virginia Department of Education will speak on transitioning after
High School graduation
