Attea Flyers
School Newsletter for Parents
For the week of March 1
Hello, Attea families.
Friday marked the end of Spirit Week and Builders Club's Toiletry Drive in support of the Northfield Township Food Pantry. Thank you to all who were able to support the effort. The value and importance of being caring community members is something we continually remind students about.
MAP testing wrapped up this week, and the District office will share information with parents about the availability of test results.
The big news of the week certainly is the announcement about transitioning to the Adapted In Person mode of instruction in April. And no doubt families have lots of questions about what this will mean for students. Be assured that we are working swiftly and diligently to finalize all of the logistical details related to this mode of instruction, and we will provide parents and students a clear picture as soon as possible.
A reminder that there is no school on Monday due to Parent-Teacher Conference Day. We hope that it is an enjoyable and productive day for all who participate.
Next week is the last week of Trimester 2, and we encouraged students to put forth their best effort on any final assessments or to complete any missing or late work that they can still turn in. It is a particularly important time for students to be checking their progress in PowerSchool and to communicate with their teachers if they have any questions.

The rest of the newsletter provides informational updates and helpful reminders to parents about upcoming opportunities. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please contact us: Contact Attea Middle School.
Have a safe and happy weekend.

Adapted In Person Parent Survey: Closes March 2
Please read the email from Cathy Kedjidjian with a link to a parent survey. The District and our school will be using your input in planning for our move to Adapted In Person learning on or before April 12, and in providing you with the information you need to help you make your decision.
5Essentials Parent Survey: we're up to 11% but...
...we need to get to 20% in order to receive any of the parent feedback at all. So far 83 surveys have been submitted, and we only need another 76 to be submitted to reach our threshold.
Of course, we'd like to get to 100% because we truly hope that all parents take the survey because it helps us learn about how we are doing as a school. The parent response goal of 20% is based on Attea's student enrollment, so a parent with more than one child at Attea can and should submit a survey for each child.
Here is a link for parents to take the survey: 5Essentials Parent Survey. It requires only 10 minutes or so to complete. How about taking it right now?
Attea High Flyers
Attea's student recognition program, "High Flyers," is one way we reinforce students' positive character and academic dedication. Students and parents are notified via email when a High Flyer is written. And to add some fun to it, we have a weekly random drawing of prize winners. During in-person instruction students can come to the office to pick up their prize; during the Adaptive Pause, prizes will be labeled with a students' names and placed in the main entrance vestibule for pick-up.
Here is a summary list of Attea Flyers Prize Winners.
